Scotland Beyond Net Zero Seed Fund
Funder: Scotland Beyond Net Zero
Deadline: 5pm, Friday 23rd May 2025.
The goal of the seed funding scheme is to foster collaborations and partnerships which develop co-created research in support of net zero in Scotland. We are focussed on six priority research themes: built environment, food, finance, energy, natural systems and transport, though the fund is open to researchers working in a cross-thematic way.
The scheme is open to academics from participating universities.
Farming Futures R&D Fund: low emissions farming
Funder: DEFRA delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.
Deadline: Wednesday 25 June 2025 11:00am
The aim of this competition is to fund collaborative projects that will develop new solutions to support UK farming working towards achieving low emissions. These must address major on-farm or immediate post farmgate challenges or opportunities.
Farming Futures R&D Fund: Precision Breeding Competition
Funder: DEFRA delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.
Deadline: Wednesday 25 June 2025 11:00am
The aim of this competition is to fund collaborative industrial research projects to unlock the benefits of precision breeding in developing ambitious new solutions leading to more sustainable and productive farming practices in at least one of the following two farming subsectors:
• horticultural crops
• arable crop
ADOPT Facilitator Support Grant: Round 1

This competition is designed for farmers, growers and foresters based in England who are keen to test and trial new ideas or solutions on-farm and require support to develop a Full ADOPT Grant application.
