Business Opportunity – Kedar Cheese Company

Gavin and Jane Lochhead of The Kedar Cheese Company are looking for a person/persons to take over the business as they are retiring.

The business was started in 2016 and year on year has continued to grow financially as Kedar produce more milk and cheese for their growing customer base.

Kedar is situated on a family run dairy farm, near Dumfries, in the beautiful Scottish county of Dumfries and Galloway. Their son milks an award-winning herd of pedigree Brown Swiss cows.

Brown Swiss cow milk is well suited to cheese making as it is high in proteins, especially Casein. Kedar currently make and sell mozzarella, smoked mozzarella, mozzarella pizza logs, halloumi, ricotta, cheese curd and two alpine style cheeses, Tomme and Mountain Cheese.

Kedar also produce high quality pasteurised milk and cream for retail.

In 2023 the company won Champion Milk, Gold for their cream and Silver for their mozzarella at The Great Yorkshire Show.

A small, but thriving family business, The Kedar Cheese Company continues to grow and has great potential to produce new products for more retail outlets.

Over the years, Kedar have built up lovely, rewarding  relationships with their customers and this is a fantastic business opportunity for someone interested in cheese making and milk processing.

For more information please contact Gavin on 07754187389 or [email protected]
